It was a great moment that we share with all the Family! Melanie flew on her own just before us three! It was Lots of emotions!!

Alpes du Sud

Here is a little slide show of the best shoots I get after spend 3 days flying around St André les Alpes!

3 flights and something like 600 km and more than 15 hours in the sky! In this period of heat wave It was pretty "cool" up there!

The Buzzard 17.4: Acro wing from Skyline

Just back from Italy, the weather is perfect at home for a little test flight on the new acro glider from Skyline; the Buzzard 17.4m !

Strong Lift and 500 m of gain every 10 min, Perfect to play with this new toy!

The wing is amazing, really fun and fast! The brake range is quiet long and the brake pressure high, Deep stall is easy to keep straight! Helicos are superfast but very stable. The Sat manouever is amazingly centrifugating! I thought I was loosing my brain ;-) The global handling of the wing is really forgiving so I always feel confident under(or above) it in any configuration! I'm looking forward for more sessions!

A good day around home!

Here are few shoots of my last xc. The conditions here looks more like summer conditions than spring conditions. Hopefully I will get more good days to fly big distances!

Above Annecy lake, the highest base of the day for me 3000m!
On the Grand Arc! The Light start to be very nice and with the tail wind, and the great conditions, the flight is realy pleasant!

I landed after 7h30 mins and 228 kms. Not so fast but still so good to be in the air! The conditions here looks more like summer conditions than spring conditions. Hopefully I will get more good days to fly big distance!

Back under the Litespeed! yehaa!

After more than 8 month without flying the hang glider, I needed a fix!!!

So I went to the Moucherotte with a good banch of friends! The wind was so stong from north in the morning that most of them decide to go back to St Hilaire to fly their PG, only me and Seb decide to go up to launch to have a look and see if the wind will decrease! And it was decreasing! After a long 4X4 ride and a nice picnic, we had to wait before the conditions get good but finally we could take off directly from the cliff just after midday (very late for this east face that works usually around 10 am! )

Finally I get a good climb on Aujour! Almost 3000m at base!

Going south, the conditions where getting bad very quickly.... too many clouds around here...

On the Blayeul, I decide to u-turn...my mistake was to follow the sailplane...

Against the wind I had no chance!

After few low save, fitting against the wind and the strong breeze in the valleys,

I had to accept that I would not be back home tonight!

I ended near Laragne, I called my Friend Steph and he was in the field to pick me up before I finish to pack the glider! So cool! Thanks! After a nice meal and a good sleep, he even drove me back home!!

I flew 6h30 to do "only" 190 kms, but for sure it was cool to glide again!! Today I fell a bit soar, but I'm ready for the next day!!
